Andrew is a distinguished leader in business development and reforms, currently serving as the Head of the Public Private Dialogue Forum. With extensive experience in both the public and private sectors, his expertise spans private sector development, privatization, investment management, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.
Andrew has a proven track record of leading key national institutions, having previously headed the Zambia Development Agency (2008-2014) and the Zambia Privatization Agency. He co-led the establishment of the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) in Zambia, heading it from 2014 to 2016. His influence includes advisory roles to the National Commission of Privatization in Sierra Leone, guiding reforms in the energy, telecommunications, and banking sectors and later in 2019-2020, in developing a Beef Industry Reform Strategy for the Botswana Meat Commission, and serves an advisory role in a private equity firm focused on investments in Mozambique and Zambia. Locally, he was involved in developing a restructuring plan for a major commercial bank served as an Investment Committee Member on ZCCM-IH and Market Development Member of the Securities & Exchange Commission. Andrew’s earlier career included roles as an Agricultural Statistician in the Ministry of Agriculture and as analyst for the Prices and Incomes Commission.
Andrew’s current non-executive Director roles are with Thebe Investment Management Company (a US $300 million property development firm), a FinTech company Mytalu, and Pangaea Securities Limited and prior served on several state owned corporations directorates. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Zambia and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
